Traditional cut roofs and first-fix structural carpentry — rafters, joists and loft framing cut and set out by hand on site, built to your drawings and Building Regs.
Full public liability cover on every job.
A Southampton carpenter who treats your home like his own.
A clear written price with no pressure and no obligation.
Cut roofing is traditional, on-site roof carpentry — rafters, purlins, ridges, hips and valleys cut and assembled by hand rather than using prefabricated trusses. It's the right approach for extensions, loft conversions, dormers, irregular roof shapes and period properties where trusses won't fit or won't match the existing structure.
We also carry out first-fix structural timber work — floor joists, studwork, flat-roof firrings and roof structures — built to the drawings and to current Building Regulations. We regularly work alongside builders and extension teams across Southampton as the carpentry trade on a project, and can liaise with your structural engineer where one's involved.
